Metal Braces are highly effective for complex cases, work 24/7 without any patient compliance needed, and are the most affordable orthodontic option. Ceramic Braces are tooth-coloured and far less visible than metal. Clear Aligners are nearly invisible, removable, and ideal for mild to moderate cases in adults who prefer discretion.
When should children start orthodontic treatment? The ideal age for a first orthodontic evaluation is 7 years old — even before all permanent teeth have come in. Early assessment allows us to plan treatment at the right time.
Treatment duration depends on the complexity of your case. Simple cases may take 6–12 months. Moderate crowding typically takes 12–18 months. Complex bite corrections can take 18–24 months.
You will feel pressure and some soreness for 2–3 days after each adjustment appointment. This is normal and usually managed with over-the-counter pain relief. It is not sharp pain.
Absolutely. There is no age limit for orthodontic treatment. Adults are increasingly choosing clear aligners for discreet straightening. Healthy teeth and gums are all that is required.
Yes. A retainer is essential after braces or aligners to maintain your results. Teeth naturally want to drift back — retainers prevent this. Most patients wear retainers at night indefinitely.
